Subscribers can exchange into another production within the same season, provided the exchange is into a production that is not already booked within the subscription package, and the exchange occurs at least one week before the first preview of the originally booked production.
Website says my ticket is not valid for exchange
At present, online exchanges are only available for performances at Southbank Theatre, The Sumner, and tickets must be exchanged at least 48 hours before the performance start time.
If you wish to exchange tickets for performances at Arts Centre Melbourne, or in The Lawler, you will need to visit the Southbank Theatre Box Office, or post your tickets back to us (see below).
If it is now less than 48 hours before your scheduled performance, you will not be able to exchange your tickets – but you can Free Up Seat to allow others to enjoy the performance if you cannot attend (see below).
Why can’t I exchange my tickets to an ACM show?
Online ticket exchanges are only available for productions in the Sumner. This service is available due to the access control system that is in place at Southbank Theatre, The Sumner and unfortunately this service does not currently exist at Arts Centre Melbourne.

What happens to my ticket when I free up my seat?
When you Free Up Seats, you allow us to offer those seats to other theatre lovers who may not have otherwise been able to access the performance. By releasing your tickets to us for resale, you are helping us to fund vital programs including discounted and free tickets to artists, students and the disadvantaged. Please note that Free Up Seats does not result in a refund.
