Box Office Duty Supervisor (casual, fixed term 12 months)

Melbourne Theatre Company is looking for a dedicated and driven person to join our Box Office team as Box Office Duty Supervisor on a casual basis.
The role provides service and support to the Box Office Supervisor and Ticketing Department and is responsible for overseeing the casual pool of Box Office Attendants as they undertake duties at the Southbank Theatre Box Office. While on shift, The Box Office Duty Supervisor shares the operational responsibility for ensuring that all necessary services are provided to address ticketing responsibilities, including sales (via counter, web and phone), enquires, exchanges, and resolving customer service issues.
This role is offered as a fixed-term 12-month contract. A minimum of three days per week availability is required and hours of work will include evenings, Monday to Saturday. The successful applicant must have flexibility within their availability and an ability to flex-up to cover the needs of the Box Office where required.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong customer service background, keen attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities. Advanced computer and CRM skills are required, with familiarity of the Tessitura ticketing system considered a plus. You should also be capable of leading and supporting the team, as well as independently resolving issues and making decisions.
