Melbourne Theatre Company and the Emerging Writers’ Festival are thrilled to continue the First Stage writers program, supported by The Vizard Foundation, providing creative and professional development for five new voices in Australian theatre.
In 2021, five writers - Roshelle Fong, Veronica Heritage-Gorrie, Jeremy Nguyen, Vivian Nguyen and Amarachi Okorom - will develop new dramatic writing over a series of intensive workshops with dramaturg Morgan Rose.
Actors will then perform dramatic readings of these five new excerpts, directed by Isabella Vadiveloo, as part of the Emerging Writers' Festival on Friday 9 July, 7.30pm at Southbank Theatre, The Lawler.
Download the programme to learn more about the writers, their plays, and the cast bringing them to life.
This event is free, but bookings are essential.
