Due to the circuit-breaker lockdown in Victoria and ongoing capacity restrictions, the schedules for MTC's upcoming productions have been impacted.

As a result, performances of The Lifespan of a Fact between Thursday 27 May and Thursday 17 June will not be proceeding.

Preparations for MTC’s upcoming production of The Truth have also been impacted and the start of the season will be delayed. The production will now run from Friday 18 June to Saturday 17 July, with preview performances scheduled for 18 to 22 June. Please note that the ANZ Forum Nights for The Truth will now take place on Monday 5 and Monday 12 July.

If you are interested in attending a later performance of The Lifespan of a Fact, please hold on to your tickets and we will be in touch within the next week when we have more information about how capacity restrictions may continue to ease.

If instead you would like to attend one of our future productions (Cyrano, Sunday, Jacky or As You Like It), you can exchange your ticket on our website. These productions have been made available for you to exchange into ahead of the general public on-sale.

If you are unable to attend later in the season and would like a refund, please contact our ticketing team at mtcticketing@mtc.com.au with details of your request.

If you would like to return your tickets as a donation to MTC, please contact our ticketing team at mtcticketing@mtc.com.au. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

If you had a complimentary ticket to one of these performances, please contact houseticketing@mtc.com.au to discuss your options.

Our Southbank Theatre box office phone line — (03) 8688 0800 — will resume its usual hours of Monday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm, from Friday 11 June.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these sudden performance cancellations.

We hope that you remain safe and well, and look forward to seeing you at the theatre again soon.
