Expressive Skills

VCE Drama

VCE Drama students can use these interactive flashcards to remember and apply the expressive skills.

By Nick Tranter

Expressive skills are used to express and realise a character. Expressive skills may be used in different ways in different performance styles.

The Study Design for VCE Drama describes four expressive skills: voice; movement; gesture; and facial expression.

Click the arrows in these interactive flashcards to recall the definitions, and read examples of each expressive skill in Melbourne Theatre Company productions.
