ABOUT THE SHOW
Adapted for the stage, E. M. Forster’s sweeping romance receives an injection of contemporary flair.
Rising star Nathalie Morris (Bump) is Lucy Honeychurch, a young woman torn between the comfort of convention and the allure of the unknown. While holidaying in Florence with her highly strung cousin Charlotte Bartlett, Lucy’s carefully ordered world is cracked open by the city’s beauty – and by George Emerson. His raw honesty challenges Lucy in ways she doesn’t expect, sparking a connection that follows her home. Back in England, Lucy is faced with a choice: follow the life laid out for her or listen to the voice inside that dares her to want more.
Immortalised in the 1985 Merchant Ivory film, A Room with a View has long been cherished for its timeless portrayal of love and sexual awakening. Playwright Grace Chapple (Never Closer) and director Hannah Goodwin (The Almighty Sometimes, The Wrong Gods, Never Closer) deliver a mischievous interpretation for a new era.
