Flick

Writer

Flick enjoys getting lost at the intersection of spectacle and the political, (un)pop culture, and reaching for imagined utopias. As a writer, they are best known for the staged lesbian sci-fi series SLUNTIK™ which world-builds a future-possible culture of deprioritising work and embracing refusal and pleasure. Their written work has been published with Humana Obscura, Osborne and Fawkner Publishing, CREATurE Magazine, Vellichor Literary, and Youth Disability Advocacy Service. This year, Flick is a writer in residence with Darebin Arts, La Mama and the City of Melbourne. Special skills include reciting their CRN both forwards and backwards, as well as staying calm through hold music.
