Wild

by Mike Bartlett

5 May — 9 June 2018

Southbank Theatre, The Sumner

Ordinary Joe one day – America’s Most Wanted the next. That’s what happens when you leak top-secret government intelligence. Now Andrew is on the run, holed up in a Russian hotel room – a political pawn with a target on his back, and no idea who to trust.

Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. No interval.

Olivier Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett (King Charles III) isn’t afraid to tackle the big questions of our times, and his dark, comic twist on the Edward Snowden story, Wild, is a riveting contemporary thriller that turns the world upside down.

A gripping exploration of privacy and surveillance in the digital age, this Australian premiere production stars Nicholas Denton (Jasper Jones), Anna Lise Phillips (Animal Kingdom) and Toby Schmitz (Black Sails), directed by MTC Associate Director Dean Bryant (Vivid White).
