About the Event
It's been seventeen years since the tragedy depicted in The Jungle and the Sea. Many grew up in the shadow of 2009 without talking about what comes after it.
Tamil Futures Forum is an afternoon inviting the Tamil community in Melbourne to sit together for a conversation.
Where do we go from here? What do we actually want a Tamil future to look like? And what is our role in the diaspora, to the homeland, to each other, to the generations that follow?
There's no panel or keynote. Bring your questions, your disagreements, your half-formed ideas. Everyone from the community is welcome, whatever your relationship to the history.
The forum is informal, casual and free. Tea and short eats provided.
This event is free to attend but registrations are essential. Registering for this event does not include a ticket to any performance of The Jungle and the Sea. Tickets to the production can be purchased separately here.
