About the show

Time is running out.

Air is emptying from a massive translucent dome, threatening to seal its inhabitants in preserved isolation. They twist together and apart. Their elastic vitality, shrink-wrapped before our eyes.

The dance mavericks from Queensland, Dancenorth, use the plight of their duo as an allegory for a contracting world, where biodiversity is being suffocated. Epic and intimate, RED illuminates the universal challenge of preserving our humanity in a world under pressure.

Red is part of the inaugural Australian Dance Biennale, curated and hosted by RISING.
