Return Season Pass – Membership is just $20

If you have previously taken advantage of our free theatre offer, you can graduate to the Return Season Pass for just $20. This gets you access a $20 ticket to each of the seven selected productions in Season 2019.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I book tickets?

You can book tickets up to 7 days before the date you wish to attend. You will be unable to access Theatre Pass tickets outside of this time frame.

PLEASE NOTE: To secure seats for shows being performed at Arts Centre Melbourne, tickets MUST be booked by 4PM on the day of the show.

What shows can I attend?

How many tickets am I entitled to?

Your membership entitles you to ONE Melbourne Uni Theatre Pass ticket per show. Once this ticket is booked, no exchanges or refunds are permitted. Please see MTC’s Terms & Conditions for further detail.

How do I book tickets?

Online:

  • Make sure you log in to www.mtc.com.au using the email address you provided.
  • Choose a date (within the next 7 days) that you wish to attend.
  • Choose the YOUTH price type. The system will automatically update the amount, once you proceed to checkout.

In person:

  • You can also visit the Box Office team at the Southbank Theatre and book in person. The Southbank Theatre is located at 140 Southbank Blvd, Southbank and is open Monday - Saturday from 9am.

Over the phone:

  • Call MTC Box Office on 8688 0800 to book over the phone. The Box Office is located at the Southbank Theatre, and are open Monday – Saturday from 9am.

How do I collect my tickets?

All Theatre Pass tickets are held at the venue Box Office, for collection on the night of the performance, 15 minutes prior to the start time. Valid University of Melbourne Student ID must be presented upon collection, or you will be charged an upgrade fee.

PLEASE NOTE: Melbourne Theatre Company reserves the right to cancel any uncollected complimentary tickets, if not collected by five minutes prior to show time.

Can my friend attend in my place?

No. Theatre Pass tickets are non-transferrable, so please take care to book a date you can attend!

If I do not attend, what happens?

Melbourne Theatre Company reserves the right to cancel any uncollected complimentary tickets booked, from five minutes prior to show time. As such, if you have a First Season Theatre Pass and you do not collect your ticket at least five minutes before the performance, your ticket may be cancelled and your seat released.

Melbourne Theatre Company also reserves the right to cancel any Theatre Pass membership, if you repeatedly do not attend booked performances. No refund will be provided in this instance.

The Melbourne Uni First Season Theatre Pass is an introductory membership offer available for a maximum of one year each, per student. After which, students may purchase a Return Season Pass for each year they are enrolled in a full-time course and under 25 years old. Melbourne Uni Theatre passes are available to full-time University of Melbourne students under 25 years of age only. Students must be under 25 years old at the time of joining, and must provide proof of age and a current student card. Valid for selected MTC productions only. Maximum one ticket per member, per show. A/B-Reserve seats only. Tickets subject to availability. Bookings available from one week prior to each performance.

Tickets booked are non-transferrable and must be collected 15 minutes prior to the performance. MTC reserves the right to cancel uncollected complimentary tickets, from five minutes prior to show time.
