You can use your MTC account credit to pay directly for your order, or you can elect to convert it into an MTC Gift Voucher for the same amount so someone else can use your credit. Please see instructions below.

REDEEMING YOUR CREDIT ONLINE

Please note, online bookings must be paid using a single credit card and cannot be split between multiple cards. MTC account credit and/or multiple Gift Vouchers can be only applied where the total value of the credit and/or voucher is less than the total of the order.

To check your credit amount:

  • Log in to My MTC, using the email address we have on file for you.
  • Your credit amount will show in the ‘MY CREDIT’ section of My MTC.

To redeem your credit online:

  • Log in to My MTC, using the email address we have on file for you.
  • Add tickets to cart for your chosen performance and choose the ‘APPLY CREDIT’ option (the cart total should then adjust).
  • If there is a balance to pay, you will be able to pay this via credit card, using an MTC Gift Voucher, or a combination of both:
    • If you have an MTC Gift Voucher, choose the ‘I have an MTC Gift Voucher’ option on the Payment screen and enter the redemption code on the voucher, including the dash.
    • Ensure you have applied your credit amount and added any MTC Gift Vouchers before entering your credit card details.  
  • Follow the prompts to check out your order.

If someone else is submitting your booking:

  • Log in to My MTC, using the email address we have on file for you.
  • Your credit amount will show in the ‘MY CREDIT’ section of My MTC. Choose the ‘GET VOUCHER FOR ALL CREDIT’ button, to redeem this entire amount as an MTC Gift Voucher.
  • Follow the prompts to check out, then forward the voucher to the person who will be submitting your booking.
  • Please note, if you do not wish to redeem your entire credit amount, you can also purchase a voucher for any amount on our website.

If you are booking for a group (ie. You are the Head Booker):

  • Ensure you have gathered any relevant Gift Vouchers from your group members.
  • Log in to My MTC, using the email address we have on file for you.
  • Add tickets/or subscriptions to cart, and if applicable, choose the ‘APPLY CREDIT’ option to redeem credit on your account (the ‘cart total’ should then adjust).

REDEEMING YOUR CREDIT AT THE BOX OFFICE

The Southbank Theatre Box Office is open Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 6pm and two hours prior to each performance. Please call us on 03 8688 0800 to make your booking.

  • Simply indicate that you would like to pay with your account credit, when placing your booking.
  • If you have an MTC Gift Voucher, this should be presented at the time of booking. When booking via phone, you can quote the Redemption Code on the voucher.

Please note subscription bookings cannot be made via phone, or in person at MTC Box Office.

REDEEMING YOUR CREDIT VIA SUBSCRIPTIONS OFFICE

  • Simply indicate on your subscription booking form that you would like to pay with account credit. This can be indicated in the Payment section of the booking form.
  • If you have an MTC Gift Voucher, please submit this when lodging your booking form.
  • Subscription booking forms can be posted to 252 Sturt St, Southbank VIC 3006, or dropped off at Southbank Theatre during our box office opening times.

My credit is missing, or less than I expected.

If your credit was from cancelled tickets to The Truth between Friday 2 July and Thursday 8 July 2021, your credit will have been allocated to your Head Booker, so you can conveniently re-book together for another production. If you would like to split your credit between you, or if you would like a refund for this amount instead, please email us to request this at mtcticketing@mtc.com.au

In addition, if you have previously redeemed your credit as a voucher, that amount will no longer be available to view in My MTC. Any value redeemed as a voucher, can then only be used by redeeming that voucher.

I have redeemed my credit as a voucher. How do I use it to pay for my order?

Once your credit has been redeemed as a voucher, you (or your Head Booker) will need to use that to pay for your tickets. To redeem a voucher online, add your tickets/or subscriptions to cart, choose the ‘I have an MTC Gift Voucher’ option on the Payment screen and enter the redemption code on the voucher, including the dash. The value of the voucher will then be deducted from your order.

Why does my credit expire on 31 December 2021?

MTC Account Credit is for use on performances scheduled in 2021, but if you don’t want to attend any shows in 2021, you can always redeem your credit as a gift voucher, which will be valid for three years from the time of purchase (see below).

What if I don’t want to attend any shows in 2021?

We recommend redeeming your credit as an MTC Gift Voucher. All vouchers are valid for three years from the time of purchase, so you will have the option to attend in future years instead. To redeem your credit as a voucher, simply:

  • Log in to My MTC, using the email address we have on file for you.
  • Your credit amount will show in the ‘MY CREDIT’ section of My MTC.
  • Choose the ‘GET VOUCHER FOR ALL CREDIT’ button, to redeem this entire amount as an MTC Gift Voucher.

How do I redeem my credit as a voucher?

Do I have to redeem my credit as a voucher?

Only if you want someone else to place your booking on your behalf (ie. You are not the Head Booker for your group), do you need to do this, or if you don't want to attend any shows in 2021. All vouchers are valid for three years from the time of purchase, so you will have the option to attend in future years instead.

Why do I need to book tickets?

Cancelled performances converted into credit were converted into a dollar value, which you can use on any MTC ticket purchase. Because we couldn’t be certain what structure we would be able to present performances in 2021, this was the only way we could allocate your credit fairly.

I can't find my redeemed Credit Gift Voucher.

Gift Vouchers should be treated like cash. Each gift voucher can only be redeemed once and anyone who has access to your voucher, or the redemption code on your voucher, can use it to pay for tickets. If you have lost your gift voucher, please contact us via phone on 03 8688 0800 or via email at mtcticketing@mtc.com.au so we can try to help locate it, and if necessary, re-issue your redemption code.

Why can’t I login to My MTC?
