A reading of a new work by Rachel Perks.

In the not-too-distant future the government has responded to the latest water crisis by setting up Giving Clinics allowing people to voluntarily euthanise themselves, donating their own body’s water for the greater good.

Anita, a Giving Specialist, has the best track record of any of her colleagues in processing donations. Bowen, a 25 year-old who can’t find work, walks into Anita’s Giving Centre. He figures he’ll finally be doing something good for the world. As the processing begins, Anita and Bowen’s appointment turns into a wrestle for power, questioning why someone might want to give their life so that others might live.
