Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our Members Survey earlier this year. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and helps us know how we can improve your membership program. We thought we’d share an overview of the results with you.

When you attend MTC performances
Members are attending performances across all days of the week, with the most popular being Thursday and Saturday evenings. Some of you suggested the Lounge could be open on different days of the week, particularly Tuesday evenings. This is something we are looking into for 2017, with the possibility of opening the Lounge every night of the week (except Sundays) during selected weeks of the production season. Keep your eyes peeled for updates in the next Members News (and of course, in the 2017 Season Brochure).

Theatre is better with friends
Many of you are attending performances in groups, from smaller gatherings of two to three, to larger parties of up to ten. For anyone who would like to bring guests up to the Lounge, don’t forget that there are Lounge passes available for purchase from the Southbank Theatre Box Office for $15. The pass is valid for both pre-show and interval.

3. To have access to the Qatar Airways MTC Lounge
4. To receive invitations to Members Events

How often you redeem your MTC Member benefits
Whilst you aren’t using your Members card every week, many of you are redeeming your Member benefits a couple of times a month. Don’t forget that if you ever want to see the most up to date listing of what Members benefits are available, head to the Explore the Benefits page on the MTC Members website.

Members Events
It is great to see how many of you are interested in coming along to Members events. We will continue to send out invitations throughout the year, so make sure you keep an eye on each of the Members News for the next event on the horizon. And don’t forget to RSVP if you would like to attend the upcoming tour of MTC HQ on Wednesday 15 June. Tours will be held at 11.30am and 6pm.

How we could improve your experience as an MTC Member
1. Open the Lounge at different times. (We are looking at when the Lounge will operate in 2017, with the possibility of opening it every night, excluding Sundays, for selected weeks of the production season.)
2. Have a wider selection of food and non-alcoholic beverages in the Lounge. (We agree that more substantial food offerings would be a fantastic addition to the Lounge, and are working on a few ideas for this. In terms of a wider selection of non-alcoholic beverages, we are currently at capacity for cold items, but will look at introducing a wider range of hot beverages as we move into the winter months.)
3. Allow Members to bring guests to the Lounge. (Members can purchase Guest Passes for only $15 to bring their friends when they attend Southbank Theatre.)
4. Allow Members to bring a guest to Events. (We are happy to extend the invitation for individual Members to bring a friend along to Members Events throughout the year. Simply let us know your friend’s name when you RSVP.)
5. Include seating with harder backs and arms for Members with mobility issues. (We are currently looking into further furniture options as part of ongoing Lounge maintenance and upgrades.)
