Work experience placements at Melbourne Theatre Company offer high school students the opportunity to observe one week of rehearsals at our Southbank headquarters.
Students shadow the Stage Management team to see how a professional rehearsal room operates. A typical week includes attending production meetings, notating blocking, sourcing props and assisting the stage manager as required.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer work experience placements outside the program dates. We are also unable to offer Structured Workplace Learning programs VCE/VCAL/VCE Vocational Major students.
Eligibility
Victorian high school students in Years 10–12 can apply for a placement. Preference will be given to Year 11 students.
