We strive to make creative, theatrical experiences accessible to all students in Victoria. As part of the Geraldine Lazarus Regional Enrichment Program, free workshops are available to a limited number of regional schools each year.
Exploring WORLD PROBLEMS
Learn more about the conventions, dramatic elements and expressive skills used in the Melbourne Theatre Company production of World Problems by Emma Mary Hall. A perfect companion experience to seeing the play on tour, this workshop gets students up on their feet, working with script excerpts and making their own artistic decisions.

Exploring SLAP. BANG. KISS.
Learn more about the conventions, dramatic elements and expressive skills used in our production of SLAP. BANG. KISS. by Dan Giovannoni. A perfect companion experience to watching the play on MTC Digital Theatre, this workshop gets students up on their feet, working with script excerpts and making their own artistic decisions.

Acting skills
Explore the ways in which actors can create and embody characters in fun, physical exercises that use your voice and body. Gain insight into the work of actors at Melbourne Theatre Company and how a professional rehearsal room operates.

Lifecycle of a production
Through the lens of VCE Theatre Studies, explore the lifecycle of an Melbourne Theatre Company production. Students learn about what our staff and artists do in the planning, development and presentation stages, with concrete examples of tasks and duties. The workshop is presentation-style, with interactive questions throughout, and a concluding activity where students creatively interpret unusual script excerpts in each stage. Where possible, a guest from the Melbourne Theatre Company production department will join for a Q&A.
