Vision Australia: Audio Describer Expressions of Interest

Vision Australia provides over 140 audio described performances each year across the country, including shows at Melbourne Theatre Company. During these performances, highly trained audio describers bring transitions, movements, gestures, props, settings, costumes and scenery vividly and succinctly to life during pauses in on stage dialogue. This allows people who are blind or have low vision to access every part of the arts and entertainment world they choose.

Vision Australia is currently requesting expressions of interest to becoming a Volunteer Vision Australia Audio Describer.

To be successful in this volunteer role you will possess:

  • An awareness of the needs of people who are blind or have low vision;
