We strive to make creative, theatrical experiences accessible to all students in Victoria. Thanks to generous donors we are able to offer free or low-cost workshops to a limited number of regional students in 2019.

The Violent Outburst That Drew Me To You Regional Workshops

To embed the experience of seeing The Violent Outburst That Drew Me To You, two hour workshops will be offered across the state in regional areas where this exciting new production is being performed. Explore the elements of theatre composition, technologies, and styles seen on stage. This performance workshop uses script excerpts to investigate key themes and moments in the play, deepening students’ understanding of the MTC production.

Duration: 2 hours
Suitable for: Year 9+
Capacity: Up to 25 students

Shakespeare Regional Workshops

Explore Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth or comic masterpiece Twelfth Night through the lens of the MTC productions. Students interpret key scenes through performance tasks, and investigate the dramatic choices made by the creative team at MTC. This workshop explores the themes of the play, as well as performance techniques that help to demystify the text.

Suitable for: Year 9+
Capacity: Up to 25 students
