Join MTC staff and artists for an inspiring day of workshops and panels on Zoom. Each special guest will nurture your inner artist with insights into their theatre-making process and activities to get your creative juices flowing. You'll also have access to Q&A sessions during the day, and digital resources to use later in your classroom.

Session 1: Stage Management

9.30am - 11am

Join MTC Stage Manager Meg Richardson (Shakespeare in LoveLilith: The Jungle Girl) for behind-the-scenes insights into making a performance run smoothly. Explore the Stage Manager's role in the rehearsal room, and see the tools they use to plan, organise and coordinate the various elements of a production.

Session 2: Costume Design

11.30am - 1pm

Join Anna Cordingley (Storm Boy, Jasper Jones) as she present her costume designs for MTC productions and provides insight into her design process. Participants will explore a range of approaches to costume that make design accessible.

Session 3: Playwriting

2pm - 3.15pm

Join MTC NEXT STAGE writer-in-residence Emme Hoy as she shares insights into her playwriting process and guides participants through writing exercises.

Session 4: Acting

3.45pm - 4.30pm

Join actors Bessie Holland (Così) and Sahil Saluja (Melbourne Talam) for a wide-ranging discussion about the work of an actor, and their performances on MTC stages, in this exclusive Q&A panel.
