What makes Noises Off such an iconic play?

The structure of all three acts.
The revision over the years by the author.
The ingenuity required from every production, and
The truth of insight into some of the happenings backstage.

What do you LOVE and what do you LOATHE about performing in a farce?

Love = the opportunity to grow and develop the craft of farce and comedy.
Loathe = when I get my timing wrong and I don’t set up a sequence right which flattens a joke for another actor.

What is your favourite line in the play (it doesn’t have to be your own)?

‘Squire, Squire, Hackham and hold on….’

What are you most looking forward to about bringing this show to Melbourne audiences?

Sharing the laughs. Having meade. Bringing warmth to the cold winter landscape.

Noises Off plays at Arts Centre Melbourne from 8 July.
