We’re delighted to receive nine nominations, across four productions, at the 2018 Helpmann Awards.
Congratulations to our creative teams, actors, production crews and staff, who have all contributed to this incredible achievement.
MTC’s The Children (co-produced with Sydney Theatre Company) received four nominations including, Best Direction of a Play for our Associate Director Sarah Goodes, Best Play and Best Female Actor in a Play. Both Sarah Peirse and Pamela Rabe were nominated for their wonderful performances as Rose and Hazel.
MTC’s co-presentation with Arts Centre Melbourne of National Theatre’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time received three nominations including Best Lighting Design, Best Scenic Design and Best Sound Design.
For his stellar performance as André in MTC’s co-production with STC of The Father, John Bell has been nominated for Best Male Actor in a Play, while Jane Montgomery-Griffiths has been nominated for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play for her unforgettable performances as Witch and Nurse in Macbeth.
