News | Helpmann Award 2016 Nominations

We are thrilled that our productions, artists and creatives have been recognised with eight nominations for the 2016 Helpmann Awards.

MTC received five nominations for the world premiere production of North by Northwest including Best Play, Best Direction, Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design; while Katrina Milosevic, Anna Samson and Mark Leonard Winter all earned nominations in Best Actor categories.

We are also delighted that Queensland Theatre Company’s production of Ladies in Black, which was a runaway success during its MTC season this year, received six nominations including Best Musical, Best New Australian Work, Best Original Score, Best Direction, Best Music Direction and Best Costume Design.
