Scotchmans Hill extends their longstanding partnership with Melbourne Theatre Company, coming on board as the exclusive Pouring Partner for Southbank Theatre Opening Nights.
The extended partnership will see a curated selection of Scotchmans Hill wines served at Melbourne Theatre Company’s Opening Night celebrations. Scotchmans Hill wine will also continue to be stocked at the Southbank Theatre foyer bars and Miss Pearl, the onsite theatre restaurant.
Scotchmans Hill’s ongoing support of Melbourne Theatre Company began in 2016 and has included key milestones such as supplying Season 2025 launch events and providing exclusive offers for theatre audiences. During the 2020 lockdowns, the winery deepened its commitment by creating curated packages of wine and produce from the Bellarine Peninsula, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Company.
The first Opening Night under the renewed partnership will be Mother Play: A Play in Five Evictions, on Friday 4 July.
‘Working in partnership with Scotchmans Hill on Opening Nights helps us create a truly memorable theatre experience for our audiences. Home to great Victorian wine, it's fitting that Scotchmans Hill continues to be part of the pleasure of attending a performance at Southbank Theatre – one of Melbourne’s essential cultural destinations,’ Melbourne Theatre Company Executive Director and Co-CEO Sally Noonan said.
Peter Reilly, Director of Scotchmans Hill, said: ‘Scotchmans Hill is pleased to be continuing its support of Melbourne Theatre Company, and to being a part of the valuable work the Company does in bringing a diverse narrative to the stage. Scotchmans Hill embraces the values of MTC in taking audiences on great journeys through storytelling. Likewise, we love sharing the Scotchmans Hill’s wine story and journey with dedicated theatre audiences’
Established in 1982 and located in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula, Scotchmans Hill has built a reputation for producing premium cool maritime climate wines and supporting Victoria’s state theatre company.
