Melbourne Theatre Company is holding ten-minute General Meetings with actors through video conferencing platform, Zoom.

While not auditioning for a specific role or production, the MTC Casting Team are looking to meet actors we may not have had the opportunity to chat with before who are passionate about theatre.

This is also an opportunity for actors to ask us questions about the industry, how MTC works, discuss general audition tips, talk about their work or discuss a showreel or self-tape they may have chosen to submit.

Submissions must be aged 15 or over and be an experienced or trained actor.

To apply:

  • If you are currently represented by an agency, it is preferred that you make your submission through your agent.

  • Agencies are able to submit a maximum of three clients for consideration.

  • Please email with subject line ‘MTC 2020 General Meetings’. Include a link to your/your client’s Showcast profile, or if not listed on Showcast, a current CV and headshot.

  • Please provide a link to footage if you/your client have a self-tape/showreel (not exceeding three minutes in length) to share ahead of the meeting.

  • Please let us know with your submission if you have any access requirements for the Online General Meetings.

  • Submissions are now open until 5pm, Wednesday 13 May 2020.

Due to the anticipated volume of submissions, we may not be able to offer everyone a meeting but we will file all applications for future reference.

MTC is committed to diverse, inclusive casting and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, all ages, genders and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
