DISCOUNT TICKETS

There are many ways you can save on your MTC tickets in 2011. All discount ticket prices are subject to availability and certain conditions.   

Day Seats - $18.00

The best ticket deal in town. MTC puts aside a limited number of day seats for anyone holding a valid Government Health Care, Pensioner Concession Card, full time student ID or MEAA membership, for only $18.00. You can buy them between 9am and noon on the day of the performance at the box office of the theatre where the play is being performed. These seats sometimes have a restricted or angled view of the stage. 

STANDING ROOM TICKETS

From time to time, standing room tickets are available to performances at the MTC Theatre from $30. Learn more.  

Rush Tickets – Half price adult tickets

Rush tickets are available from the relevant theatre box office two hours prior to each performance to pensioners, seniors, unemployed people, full-time students, and members of MEAA, Australian Writers Guild, ASDA, Playworks and the National Playwrights Centre. These tickets, always chosen from the best available, cost half the full adult price, plus a service fee. You will need to provide appropriate identification.

MTC UNDER 30s tickets - From $33

All those aged 29 and under can purchase tickets to MTC productions from as little as $33. Under 30s also receive great discounts on subscription packages: see 12 plays for just $252 - that's only $21 per play.

Concessions

Concession prices are available for pensioners, full-time students and unemployed for most MTC shows. Seniors are entitled to pensioner prices for Wednesday matinees. To view these prices, refer to the relevant production page, click on the date you wish to attend and the seats you are interested in purchasing, and pricing variations will appear.

COMPANION CARD HOLDERS 

If you hold a Companion Card you may purchase discount tickets on behalf of the person you are attending with, provided they are eligible for the discount tickets purchased .  The Companion Card must be sighted at the time of purchase and tickets will be held for collection prior to the start of the performance at the MTC Theatre Box Office.  Relevant concession cards and ID must be sighted at the time of ticket collection.
