Donor Recognition

Located in the Southbank Theatre, the performance home of Company, the Sumner is a state-of-the-art venue offering the most advanced stage technology and a level of intimacy not previously seen in Australia. It has been designed to provide comfort and excellent stage views for all the audience. Every seat is a good one, with excellent sightlines, thanks to the venue's sumptuous design.

Within the Sumner we have created some unique and special ways in which you can show your support and be recognised as a donor. Make a donation to MTC by purchasing an engraved seat plaque or a quote from the Theatre’s unique Word Walls. 

You can select which seat you wish to attach your plaque to or which quote you wish to be identified with. Be sure to get a seat plaque soon as there are only a limited number available to this support campaign.

	Seat Plaque Donations  Reserve your place in history or honour a family member, friend, group or company with a personalized name plaque on one or more seats in the Sumner. Why not engrave your own name and your first subscription season to commemorate your journey with MTC. When the audience take their seats, the first thing they may see may be your name.
	Word Wall Donations  One of the unique design concepts in the Sumner are the Word Walls. They illuminate the auditorium with famous quotes from great playwrights. We invite you to support MTC by attaching your name to one of the many quotes available. Donors can elect to support a specific (individually valued) quote of their choosing and are credited in a publication listing all the quotes and on signage in the Southbank Theatre foyer.
	General Donations  Your donation will support a range of initiatives, including activities that don’t necessarily make money for MTC or attract lots of press coverage, but are equally as important to our long term viability, to developing and maintaining Australian artistic talent, and to ensuring that we remain accessible to all Victorians. All donations of $1000 and above are recognised under MTC’s Patrons Program.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and are a vital gesture towards assuring the future stability of the Company.
