Capital Campaign Donations

With two greatly-anticipated homes under construction, it’s an exciting time for MTC and we’d like to invite you to be a part of the excitement by making a vital contribution to the mtc@home campaign.

mtc@home is the specific name given to our capital fundraising campaign, its purpose is to raise funds required for our new homes. With a target of $5 million, we ask you to please help us fill the gap in funding needed for our magnificent Theatre and our much needed new HQ.

We have created some unique and special ways in which you can show your appreciation and be acknowledged as a donor.

	Seat Donations Place a dedication on one of only 500 permanent seats in the Sumner Theatre – our main theatre space and the home of many performances to come. Seat dedications will be engraved onto a plaque and placed on the back of each seat.
	Quote Donations A totally unique concept for the Sumner Theatre is the Word Wall, comprising almost 70 quotes from some great playwrights. Illuminated from behind, the walls appear to literally glow with literature. Donors can elect to support a specific (individually valued) quote of their choosing.
	General Campaign Donations Every dollar you donate will contribute to improving the working conditions of artists and theatre workers as well as making your experience at the theatre a meaningful one. In this extraordinarily important year for MTC, we ask you to please give what you can.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and will be a vital gesture towards assuring the future growth of the Company. Additionally, donations over $2,000 may be made in full or in instalments.

And naturally, should you have the capability to make a more significant contribution to our fundraising campaign, we’d be delighted to welcome you onstage as a Founding or Leading Donor. Please contact Julia White, Development Director on 9684 4514 or email.

As a gesture of our thanks and in order to ensure that your donation remains tax deductible and in line with Australian Tax Office guidelines, we can offer donors to the mtc@home campaign:

• A tax receipt allowing you to apply for the appropriate deduction
• An invitation to tour the theatre prior to its public opening
• Acknowledgement in MTC publications including the commemorative MTC Theatre booklet (published in line with the theatre opening), Scenes and online at mtcathome.com.au
• Furthermore, seat and quote donors will be given appropriate acknowledgement as donors at these levels
• And all donors committing $5,000 or more will also be given the opportunity to attend exclusive opening events at the new MTC Theatre in the coming months.
