It is a joy to witness such entertaining, nuanced and credible performances as those of the three women playing the mismatched trio in Di and Viv and Rose.

Synopsis

From different classes, from different places, with different experiences and expectations, Di, Viv and Rose would never have crossed paths if they hadn’t shared a flat all those years ago at uni. For a while, the laughs bound them together. But surely time, which delivers triumph, disaster and change so unpredictably, will slowly draw these three friends apart?

Amelia Bullmore’s touching tale takes a different view, finding that between some friends, bonds can loosen, stretch and strain, yet never break. Starring the incomparable Nadine Garner (The Weir), Mandy McElhinney (Love Child) and Belinda McClory (The Waiting Room) under the direction of renowned theatre-maker Marion Potts, this much-heralded new play spans the years and spins the yarns, to evoke a story of enduring friendship that is undoubtedly one of the most moving stories to hit the stage in many years.

You can learn more about Di and Viv and Rose on the MTC Blog, Backstage. You can also download the Di and Viv and Rose programme before your visit, or purchase one for just $2 at the theatre.
