Sharing the Light

Sharing the Light

MTC is passionate about world-class theatre being accessible to all, and with our Sharing the Light program are able to put the transformative power of live performance and storytelling within reach of more Victorian young people and families. The program has four key initiatives:

  • $5 tickets for disadvantaged schools (and travel subsidies for eligible schools)
  • $5 tickets for family programs
  • A regional tour of Hungry Ghosts by Jean Tong
  • Indigenous Scholarships to provide career pathways into the creative industries

It made me so happy to see them engaging with live theatre in such a positive way. Thank you for making the show so accessible to my students.

For many of these students it was their very first show and first trip to Melbourne. What a wonderful start to encourage young people to want to view theatre and participate in the arts.

MTC’s Sharing the Light program is made possible by the Crown Resorts Foundation and the Packer Family Foundation.
