Melbourne Theatre Company today paid tribute to Fred Parslow who passed away on January 26 2017.

MTC Executive Director Virginia Lovett said, ‘Fred Parslow will always be a luminous part of MTC history and someone who we and our long-time subscribers will remember fondly. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family at this sad time.’

Mr Parslow’s association with MTC dates back to the early days when the Company was founded as the Union Theatre Repertory Company. He first performed with the Company in 1955 in a touring production of the Twelfth Night before going on to enjoying a long and illustrious career with MTC that spanned nearly three decades.

In later years, some of Mr Parslow’s standout performances on MTC’s stages included Richard II (1963), Einstein (1981) and A Fortunate Life (1984).
