The Book of Everything

MTC receives 30 Green Room Award nominations

What an honour and a delight to wake up this morning and find eight MTC performances nominated for awards in nine of the Theatre categories, with NEON productions nominated in six of the Independent Theatre categories!

The Mountaintop, Other Desert Cities and The Cherry Orchard lead the charge, with several nominations for our presentation of the Belvoir and Kim Carpenter’s Theatre of Image production of The Book of Everything, and one nod each to Constellations, The Crucible, Solomon and Marion, and our Education production Beached.

As our Artistic Director Brett Sheehy AO said, ‘We are thrilled that the work of so many of the artists and creatives who worked with MTC last year has been recognised in this year’s nominations, and that they are in the company of others of such standing in Melbourne’s amazing theatrical landscape. We are especially pleased that our education, family and NEON programs have also been recognised as we are working hard to open MTC’s doors wide to the theatrical community.’
